Padma Rao gives autos to Dhulpet families

Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud today distributed autos to families affected by displacement of families involved in cheap liquor at Dhulpet in the old city. Attending as the chief guest at a program at Necklace Road here, along with Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali, Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy and officials Padma Rao distributed the autos to the beneficiaries.

They include autos to 47 families, auto trolies to 58 families and Tata Ace to 9 families he said. He also said that the government is giving priority to welfare of the poor and gave financial assistance to a total of 6066 families including 2305 SCs, 1046 STs, 2621 BCs and 94 Minorities. He asked local MLA, Collector and revenue officials to find suitable land to set up an industry to provide employment to the displaced families. A program with locals will be convened if necessary he said.

Mahamood Ali said that efforts are being made to provide succor to displaced families as promised by Chief Minister K Chnadrasekhar Rao. Narsimha Reddy said that the TRS Government has eradicated cheap liquor production and sale. We are providing the effected with employment opportunities he added. (NSS)
