Pakistan calls back its High Commissioner

Islamabad: According to the Spokesperson of Foreign Office Dr Muhammad Faisal, Pakistan has called back its High Commissioner from India. Highlighting the harassment with Pakistani diplomats in India, FO Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal, in its weekly press briefing said, “Pakistan High Commissioner Sohail Mahmood, has been called back from New Delhi by the Federal government.”

Dr Faisal alleged that Indian government did not take any steps to safeguard Pakistani diplomats and their families in India, hence lodging a strong protest at the maltreatment being meted out to the officials and their families of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, Pakistan on Tuesday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh.
