Pakistan labourer allegedly killed by Chinese officer

Islamabad : An officer of a Chinese construction firm has allegedly killed a labourer.

According to The Nation, Laoli, the Chinese officer employed by the privately-owned Chinese Construction Company (PEPC), murdered labourer Khalid Rind, aged 20, who was working at the site of the Hab Power Project in Gaddani, Balochistan.

Balochistan Police has said that Rind’s body has been shifted to his hometown of Mir Muhammad Kalhoro.

Relatives of Rind were quoted by The Nation, as saying that Laoli sent Rind into the mixture machine to clean it and later switched it on due to which the latter lost his life.

They claimed that company officials are now indulging in a cover up and called for action to be taken against Laoli and others. (ANI)
