Pakistan urges world to support voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees

Islamabad : Pakistan has urged the international community to play its due role for the voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said this in a meeting with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Fillipo Grandi in Islamabad.

Dar stated that with an elected government in Afghanistan, the situation for repatriation of Afghan refugees should improve, reports Radio Pakistan.

Grandi on his part assured his continued support on the issue and invited Pakistan to participate in “Migrant and Refugee Summit” to be held in September in New York this year.

Meanwhile, senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz held a consultative meeting at the Prime Minister House with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss national issues and party affairs. (ANI)
