Pak’s Interior Minister shot at public rally

Narowal: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday evening was shot and wounded after addressing a rally in Narowal city of the country’s Punjab province.

Iqbal escaped the possible assassination bid on his life and sustained injuries in his right shoulder and underwent treatment at a district hospital.

“He is receiving initial medical treatment at DHQ Hospital in Narowal,” Iqbal’s son Ahmed told Geo News, adding that his father would be shifted to Lahore for further medical aid.
