The Prophet (S.A.W.S) said: “Each of you is a guardian and is responsible for his wards. The Ruler is a Guardian and the man is a guardian of the members of his household; and the women is a guardian and is responsible for her husbands house and his offsprings; and so each of you is responsible for his ward.”
[Bukhari and Muslim]
This Hadith of Prophet (s.a.w.s.) emphasises the fact that parenting is a crucial responsiblity and must be approached earnestly and sincearly. Parents nurture, rear and protect their children in this life and focus on preparing them for the life to come. Responsiblity entails Accountablity, as elobarated in the light of Quran and Ahadith that Allah will hold each and every parent accountable for how they carried out this responsibility and this will be present on their balance of deeds in the Hereafter.
Parenting is not only a responsibility but it is probably the most crucial duty in the world. Parents are raising the Next Generation that will either succeed or fail in Re-Establishing Islam on this Earth. The task has tremendous bearing on the future of the Muslim Nation, and it’s outcome will depend upon the ability of the parents to succeed.
Parents have the capablity to influence the child more than any other person. This influence, in turn, affects the cummunity in which they live.
“FAMILIES ARE THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF SOCIETY!”
“THE SOCIETY IS AS STRONG AS IT’S FOUNDATION!”
For these reason, it is imperative that parents appreciate the significance of this role and accept responsiblity that comes with it.
