Passengers on Patliputra express looted

Asansol: A train robbery incident where a gang of 20-25 dacoits in a daring act robbed passengers on board of Patna-Hatia-Patliputra express on Tuesday night sources reported.

The dacoits robbed three compartments of the train when the train halted for 40 minutes near the Jamui station in Bihar, TimesNow reported.

According to the Passengers, the dacoits have entered from the S1 coach and started snatching jewelry from the passengers they assaulted those who protested and even broke the windows of the compartment.

They went further into air-conditioned coaches and robbed the passengers in the two coaches.

The passengers there was no security personnel on board. The crime came to light only when the train reached Asansol Railway station.

A similar incident was also reported by passengers on two express trains, the Venkatadri Express and the Rayalaseema Express were a gang of robbers looted the passengers earlier this month.
