Passport verification: Policeman reportedly asks for “hug” from woman

Ghaziabad: In yet another incident of crime against women, a policeman who came for passport verification has reportedly asked a woman for a hug. After the incident, the victim shared the details of the incident on the twitter.

According to the report published in DNA, the victim is a Ghaziabad-based journalist. The journalist claimed that she faced harassment by the policeman who visited her house for passport verification. In the tweets, she tagged Mr. Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister, Ms. Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister and Ghaziabad Police.

In the tweet, she said that the policeman who visited her house for passport verification made her feel uncomfortable. The journalist also said that she had asked her helper to stay back until the cop leaves the house.

After completing the verification process, the cop had asked her for a hug, she added.
