Paswan suggests BJP should change its anti-Muslim image

Patna: Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan today felt that central government and BJP should change their anti-Muslim image. He was addressing a press conference in Patna. He asked the NDA leaders to desist from making off-the-cuff remarks and be “more tactful” during elections, in the wake of the party’s poor showing in the recent by-polls in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

At first, he himself said that it is being rumoured that the central government is anti-minority and anti-Muslim. He said though the government need not change its policy, it should change the perception of people regarding it. The government should work more decently.

He expressed concern over some leaders of the ruling NDA at the centre occasionally making remarks that created an impression of the alliance being against certain sections of the society.
