Patanjali signs MoU with govt. to set up food processing unit in Telangana

Haridwar: Yoga expert Ramdev signed a MoU with Telangana government to start a Patanjali food processing unit in the state. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, K Kavitha earlier this week had reached Haridwar for signing the MoU.
“MOU signed to establish a ‘food processing park’ by the Patanjali group in Nizamabad. This unit will be of great value addition to the farmers & will aid in rural job creation (sic),” @RaoKavitha, MP from Nizamabad, wrote on her Twitter handle.
Patanjali had earlier signed similar MoU with the Uttarakhand and Haryana governments. Under the MoU, Patanjali will cooperate with organic farming, herbs, branding and marketing of coarse cereals, the establishment of Ayush villages in state and opening of a cow shelter (dairy facility).
Patanjali has spread its tentacles to all sectors. From teaching yoga to selling yoga equipment and then Ayurvedic medicines to noodles.
