Pawan fumes at CM over appointing North Indian as TTD EO

Jana Sena founder-leader and actor Pawan Kalyan made sensational remarks on twitter today asking whether any South Indian officer ever appointed chief of any Devasthanam in North India.

Taking serious exception to the decision of Andhra Pradesh government in appointing Anil Kumar Singhal of North India as executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the “Power Star” asked the Chandrababu Naidu government to give an explanation to the people of South India in this regard.

Upset with the injustice meted out to south Indian states, Pavan got angry with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for appointing North Indian IAS officer Anil Kumar Singhal as TTD Executive Officer. On Monday, Pawan made it clear that he was not against “north Indian IAS officials” taking charge of TTD; but questioned whether they would allow any south Indian to take up the administrative positions of the sacred Hindu temples in Amaranath, Varanasi, Mathura.

Meanwhile, Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Sarada Peetham in Visakhapatnam said he would go to court and challenge the AP government’s decision to appoint North Indian IAS officer as TTD EO.

It may be mentioned here that Anil Kumar Singhal assumed charge as TTD EO of TTD on Saturday.(NSS)
