‘Paw’some moves: Army dogs perform yoga alongside their trainers

NEW DELHI: Four-legged furry friends has stolen the limelight on the International Yoga Day celebrated throughout the world on 21 June every year.

Photographs showing the canine members of various units of armed forces practising the yoga asanas along with their masters is now doing rounds on the internet.

Netizens can’t stop adoring the fluffy army.

Pictures of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel from Animal Training School (ATS) located at Lohitpur performed Yoga with dogs were also shared on Twitter.

The theme of 5th International Yoga Day 2019 is “Climate Action”. The first International Day of Yoga was observed all over the world on June 21, 2015, when over 30,000 people including Prime Minister Modi performed yoga at the Rajpath in New Delhi.

The proposal of yoga day was pushed by the PM Modi in the first year of his tenure and also suggested at the United Nations General Assembly where he expressed his interest to mark June 21 as international yoga day.
