People asked to Reduce Use of Fossil Fuels

Hyderabad: Commissioner for Civil Supplies Department Akun Sabharwal requested people to reduce the usage of fossil fuels like petrol, diesel, coal etc., to save natural resources and save environment from pollution. We should encourage using alternative to conventional Bio-fuel.

Akun Sabharwal was Chief Guest at Cycle rally, on the eve of ‘World Bio-Fuel Day’ organised by HP, Indian Oil and Bharat Oil Companies on Friday, at Sanjeevaiah Park. He said, our country is now the most economic developing country in the world and in future it will attain more growth in its economy. The consumption of fuel will also grow instantly. Keeping the future necessities, it is very essential and important to encourage for alternative non fossil Bio-fuel usage.

Bio-fuels have the benefits of reducing import dependency on crude oil, cleaner environment, and additional income to farmers and employment generation in rural areas. Bio-fuels will largely help in saving natural resources and reducing pollution. (NSS)
