NEW DELHI: JNU student activist Umar Khalid on Thursday shared a picture of a person on Twitter and claimed that he is the one who attacked him.
Khalid was attacked on Monday after having tea at a shop outside the Constitution Club in the national capital where he was supposed to speak at an event titled – ‘Towards a Freedom Without Fear’ organized by United Against Hate Initiative.
“The person who attacked me (on the right) with Editor in Chief of Sudarshan News, Suresh Chavhanke. No further comments!!!,” Tweeted Umar Khalid.

“I appeal to you to join this protest, not because the attack was on me…but because it can be on you tomorrow. The ultimate target here is democracy in the country,” Khalid said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Delhi police on Tuesday transferred the case related to the attack to the Special Cell, the anti-terror unit of Delhi police.
