PM Modi hails the promotion of Urdu

New Delhi: The sixth World Urdu Conference by NCPUL (National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language) concluded amicably where it was agreed by one and all in Scope Auditorium, New Delhi, that languages are for making and not breaking. These views were expressed by ex-Justice, Suhail Ahmed Siddiqui, who was the guest of honour at the international conclave. Wholeheartedly appreciating the efforts of its Director, Dr. Shaikh Aquil Ahmed, Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, the guest of honour stated that this conference was successful in conveying the message of the Conference that Urdu is a language of not only composite culture and interfaith bonds but also of humanness and heart and soul.

Justice Suhail Siddiqui also added that languages have no religion but truth is that the religion needs the support of languages for its propagation and promotion, apart from that, articles 25, 26 and 29 (A) also support the following of once language once language, culture and system of education as per Indian Constitution.
Before the concluding session the last interactions were on, “Mass Media and Urdu” and “Place of Urdu in the Constitution and other Laws”, eminent personalities like Prof. Iftikhar Ahmad, Khawaja Abdul Muntaqim, Prof. Nuzhat Parveen, Mirza Abdul Baqi Beg (BBC), Dr. Mumtaz Alam Rizvi, Abdul Sami Bubeere, Prof. Mrinal Chattarjee and Dr. Tahseen Munawwar besides others also delivered their papers in the presence of more than 60 university scholars, foreign delegates and connoisseurs of Urdu. More than 70 papers and reflections on the present status of Urdu were presented.

While delivering the vote of thanks, Dr. Aquil Ahmad, the Director of NCPUL, stated that the purpose of all the Indian and international languages is to achieve the spirit of fraternal ambiance and ecumenism. He also thank Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Human Resource Development for the very well deserved and able support to Urdu that was created in the northern region of India.
