PM Modi keeps talking about himself, says Rahul Gandhi

Ahmedabad: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi criticized PM Modi on Saturday for only talking about himself during a speech on Friday.

In a rally at Mehsana of Vadnagar, Congress vice-president said, “Yesterday (Friday), Modi gave a speech on Modi. He spoke only about himself.”

Referring to the second phase of assembly polls, Rahul said that this election is bigger than Modi or him and it is bigger than Congress and BJP, quoted News 18.

PM Modi in his speech at Himmatnagar, had accused suspended Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar of giving a supari in Pakistan to get him removed.

Rahul went on to post on twitter about PM Modi’s speech, and wrote: “90% time, he gave a speech on himself. Narendra Modi gave a speech on Narendra Modi. There is nothing else left.”

He also drew a comparison between the strategies of two governments, “We have been working on our manifesto for the last three months. We went to all sections of society and asked people what they want their government to do. We don’t talk about ourselves. We talk about what they did in the last 22 years and what Congress will do in next five years,” Rahul said.

While slamming Gujarat development model, and land allocation to Tata Nano factory, Rahul said, “Modi government takes from the poor, gives to a handful of the rich.”

He said that 30 lakh youth in the state are unemployed. “China creates 50,000 jobs in a day. India creates only 450 jobs in 24 hours,” he stated.
