PM Modi stole from people of Andhra Pradesh and gave it to Ambani: Rahul Gandhi

DELHI: Indian National Congress chief Rahul Gandhi while expressing support for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s day-long fast on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stolen from the people of the State and given the money to industrialist Anil Ambani.

The Telugu Desam Party chief is observing a day-long dharna here today against the central government over the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh demanding that the Centre fulfil all promises made during Andhra Pradesh’s bifurcation in 2014.

Mr Gandhi at the venue of the hunger strike in Andhra Bhavan said that “The Prime Minister has stolen from the people of Andhra Pradesh and he has given that money to Anil Ambani.”

“I stand with the people of Andhra Pradesh. What kind of a Prime Minister is he?” Gandhi said addressing the people at a 12-hour-long fast here by Andhra Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

“Mr Narendra Modi, wherever he goes, he goes to Andhra Pradesh, he lies about special status. He goes to the North-East, he tells another lie over there. He goes to Maharashtra and he tells another lie over there. He has absolutely got no credibility left,” Mr Gandhi added.
