Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said good governance is not limited to policy and decision-making, it is also about integrating science and technology in choices we make and strategies we pursue.
Inaugurating the 103rd Indian Science Congress here, PM Modi appreciated the event’s theme — ‘Science and Technology for Indigenous Development in India’, saying it was a fitting tribute to former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam`s vision.
“It’s a great pleasure to begin this year in company of leaders of science from India and the world,” Modi said addressing a huge gathering of about 15,000 scientists.
The event is being held at the University of Mysore from January 3 to 7.
