PM Narendra Modi likely to attend ‘Yoga session’ with top cops in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take part in a ‘Yoga session’ along with top- ranking police officers during the annual conference here of DGPs from across the country.

Modi is likely to arrive here tomorrow evening and after an overnight stay at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), he would take part in the ‘Yoga session’ on November 26 as part of the conference of Directors General of Police of all states.

“The Prime Minister will also take part in Yoga session, after which he would participate in deliberations with DGPs the whole day on Saturday,” a top police official told PTI.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh would inaugurate the three- day conference at SVPNPA tomorrow.

Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, besides National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval are among those who would attend the event.

The conference would focus on issues relating to countering terrorism and radicalisation, Naxal problem and cyber crime, besides modernisation of police force, the police official said.
Rajnath Singh would also take part in the valedictory function on Sunday, he added.
