PMO appreciates State projects: CS

Chief Secretary SK Joshi today said Prime Minister Office has appreciated the State with regard to progress of pending projects in Telangana.

Conducting a high level review meeting at the Secretariat here today, Joshi discussed on 11th group project monitoring. Joshi informed that the Central project monitoring portal has acknowledged the speedy progress of several projects in the State. The Central officials have also appreciated Telangana on the projects such as expansion of national highways, railway projects construction, Hyderabad Metro Rail, Singareni works and others.

For completing Metro Rail project, he said that 215 properties were taken over as per norms, 29 demolished and 186 properties are under award stage and handover the same by June 15. Joshi also said that the state government has urged the Centre to give forest clearance for 85 hectares Kishtapuram coal mine in Khammam district. We have informed to the Centre that the process of land acquisition for development works has been expedited. Efforts are being made for speedy completion of the mining works, he said.

Works pertaining to Munirabad-Mahabubnagar, Manoharabad- Kothapally, Kovvur-Bhadrachalam railway lanes are also speeded up. SK Joshi also said that the land acquisition will be completed at the earliest for Sangareddy-Akola, Hyderabad-Manneguda, Mancherial- Chandrapur, Jagitial-warangal, Kodad-Khammam, Suryapet-Khammam, Khammam-Ashwaraopet will be completed. We also informed to the Centre that the collectors concerned are being regular directed to complete land acquisition for development work, he said. (NSS)
