Rajkot: The Gandhidham Police have booked a case against four persons including the wife of the deceased man who committed suicide by electrocuting himself for allegedly driving him to kill himself.
According to reports, victim Prahlad committed suicide three months back when he learnt about his wife Dhanbai Maheshwari’s illicit relationship with three men named Narsinh Koli, Ravi Shankar Maheshwari and Mahesh Maheshwari.
The Police said the four accused allegedly harassed Prahlad which forced him to commit suicide, TOI reports.
It was Prahlad’s brother-in-law (sister’s husband) Lalji who had filed a complaint alleging foul play after the victim committed suicide in Gandhidham Police station.
“Later, Lalji learnt that Prahlad got to know about Dhanbai’s illicit relationship with Narsinh, Ravi and Mahesh. After he got to know, the four accused started threatening and harassing him. Prahlad couldn’t take the torture any more and electrocuted himself on September 13,” said sources familiar with the case.
The accused men frequently went to his house and issued threats, police said.
