UP: Police rescues model held hostage by stalker since 7am

Bhopal: After a video of a stalker holding a 30-year-old model woman hostage on city outskirts in her apartments went viral on social media, the Police successfully rescued her.

According to the reports, the condition of the victim and the stalker is stable and both are rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Stalker identified as Rohit Singh (30) allegedly entered the model’s flat in the apartment building located in Misrod area of Bhopal around 7 am.

He held her hostage at gunpoint since then told Inspector Sanjeev Chouse said.

Stalker Singh hailed from UP’s Aligarh and was in conversation with the policemen through video calls. He insisted on marrying the model and also threatened to kill himself and the model if he fails to do so or if the Police tries to rescue the victim.

The victim was already covered in blood while the stalker was continuing his video calls to sources.

The victim also attacked the stalker with a scissor according to Sub Inspector GS Rajput.

The accused later told news source that he would come out only when the crowd outside the apartment is removed and also said that the Police will be responsible if the condition of the victim worsens.
