Police suspect child sacrifice on lunar eclipse after head found on house terrace

HYDERABAD: Police suspecting a human sacrifice angel to the horrific murder of a three-month-old baby who was found dumped on the terrace of a house at Chilkanagar in Hyderabad.

“It is likely that the murder could be related to the rare cosmic occurrence of super blue blood moon on Wednesday. We have gathered some clues,” the joint commissioner said, according to Deccan Chronicle newspaper.

The incident came to light a day after the super blue blood moon eclipse on Wednesday (31 January) after a woman resident of the rented house went to the terrace this morning to dry clothes, a senior official said.

The woman’s son-in-law Rajasekhar is an Uber driver. “They alerted the police immediately.

It is still not clear how old the baby is, whether two months or three-months, and also if it is a boy or a girl,” DCP (Malkajgiri Zone) Ch R Umamaheswara Sarma told PTI.

According to reports, the child’s severed head was said to be chopped with a sharp edged weapon has been sent for postmortem. A case is being registered.

On January 29, the severed head of a 25-year-old man was found placed on the compound wall of a religious place in Nalgonda town of Telangana.

On January 30, chopped body parts of an unidentified pregnant woman were found stuffed in two gunny bags near the Botanical garden at Kondapur near Hitech City here.
