Hyderabad: Central Crime Station of Hyderabad City Police arrested two travel agents under the charges of cheating the people.
According to the details of the case, J. Pratap Reddy, a contractor, resident of Ashok Nagar formed a group of 65 persons and planned an excursion trip to Dubai.
In the bank accounts of Shyam Kumar, a travel agent and his wife, Usha Kiran, Rs. 17 lakh were transferred through online banking. Shyam Kumar gave this money to another travel agent Raj Kumar, a resident of Delhi who runs OASIS Tours and Travels.
A few days later, Pratap Reddy contacted Ajay Dogra, Chief of OASIS Tours and Travels asking him to provide tickets and visa. In turn, Dogra pleaded ignorance about the amount paid by him.
Pratap Reddy lodged a complaint in CCS of Hyderabad City Police.
Police registered a case and arrested Shyam Kumar and G. Raj Kumar who are travel agents.
