Ponguleti demands probe into post-2014 scams first

Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was overacting in the name of inquiry into the scams during previous Congress government for political gains, Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy asked the Chief Minister as to why he failed to respond on the alleged scam after KCR came to power.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Sudhakar Reddy demanded that the State government order a comprehensive inquiry into the EAMCET scam, Miyapur land scam, Nayeem encounter and several other scams. He demanded that the State government inquire into the scams occurred in the last four years first pre-2014 scams later. Ponguleti alleged that KCR was working with a secret agenda with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Asking KCR as to why his government failed to respond to the Supreme Court hearing on AP Reorganization Act Assurances case filed by him, Ponguleti said KCR has to implead himself in his petition if he was sincere.

The condition of the farmers in the State has worsened, he said and alleged that the State government was thinking that Rythu Bandhu scheme was a remedy to all the problems of the farmers. The farmers were facing a lot of hardships in the agriculture markets as there was no proper purchase system. The officials should hold responsibility of protecting grains of farmers even after selling it, he bemoaned and demanded that the State government implement the Rythu Bandhu scheme to tenant farmers also.
