Ponnala warns KCR not to build projects as he likes

Alleging that referendums on Kaleswaram project were reflecting in TRS public meetings, former minister Ponnala Laxmaiah today dared Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao to come for an open debate on the irrigation projects with him. He also said he was ready for open debate on Irrigation projects at any place.

Speaking to mediapersons at his residence here on Saturday, Ponnala alleged that the State government was making police to scare the beneficiaries participating in the referendums. He alleged that the police were throwing out beneficiaries, who were questioning the officials from the venue.  He also alleged that the State government was indulging in “anti-constitutional” activities in the name of projects. The Chief Minister was making the TRS leaders to come to his Farm House and Pragathi Bhavan to praise him, he ridiculed.

KCR was implementing ‘Gadi Rule’ in Telangana, he said and questioned the Chief Minister, who sought national status for Pranahitha-Chevella project till November 2015, as to why he changed the design of the Pranahitha-Chevella project. Making it clear that the Congress and the people were not against the irrigation projects, Ponnala warned that he would not keep quiet if the TRS government constructed the projects as it liked by drowning the people. He also made it clear that the people would revolt against the government if it constructs the projects forcefully. (NSS)
