Pradhan credits BJP’s Tripura win to Leftist ‘dushaasan’

New Delhi [India]: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) inching closer to forming the government in the Left bastion of Tripura, Union Minister of Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said the people have chosen to end 25 years of Leftist misgovernance.

” I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this victory. It’s after 25 yrs of leftist ‘dushaasan’ (misgovernance) that people have chosen the BJP. Our workers’ hard work and blessings of the people have made us conquer 21 states. People who have lost should accept their defeat,” Pradhan told ANI.

At the time of filing of the report, the Election Commission of India (ECI) reported that the BJP-Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) alliance bagged 43 seats, while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI-M bagged 16 seats.

The BJP is leading in Tripura and Nagaland, while the Congress Party has retained its position in Meghalaya. (ANI)
