Description:
The Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications from meritorious VJNT/SBC/SC students of Class 5 to 10 for Pre-Matric Merit Scholarship 2017-18.
The key objective of the scholarship is to motivate students of backward classes for education.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -Belong to SBC/VJNT/SC category.
Be studying in Class 5 to 10. Have secured 50% or more in his/her previous year’s examination. Have stood first or second in the previous class.
Note: There is no income limit to apply for the scholarship.
How to apply:
Step 1: Click here to register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)
Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
Step 3: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 4: Complete the registration process by filling in all required details.
Step 5: Log in using username or password.
Step 6: Complete the application process for the scholarship. Note: Once the applications are filled, the headmaster of the respective school is required to submit the proposals to concerned District Social Welfare Officer, Zila Parishad through Block Education Officer.
For applicants of Mumbai, the proposals should be submitted to the Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Mumbai.
