President Kovind trolled by bhakts for extending Eid-ul-Adha greetings in Urdu

New Delhi: President of India, Mr Ramnath Kovind greeted the countrymen especially Muslims on the occasion of Eid ul Adha, however he had no idea that he will be trolled for this. Taking to his official Twitter handle, President wrote “Eid Mubarak to all fellow citizens, especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters in India and abroad. On this special day of Eid-ul-Zuha, we celebrate the sacred spirit of sacrifice. Let us resolve to work together for unity and fraternity in our shared society.”

But the idea of extending Eid greetings in the Urdu language to the 20 pc Muslim population didn’t go well with the bhakts. While a number of Muslims welcomed the greetings and thanked the President, there was no dearth of people advising him to tweet in Hindi and not in Urdu from the next time.

Some declared Urdu as the language of Pakistan, while some termed the action as Muslim appeasement.

It must be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also trolled by the Bhakts when he had greeted Muslims in Urdu on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
