Presiding officers ask police to tighten security for Assembly budget session

Speaker S Madhusudanachary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud today instructed the Police department to be extra cautious in the wake of budget session beginning on March 12 and changing political scenario.

They held a review meeting with top police brass at Assembly here and asked them to be cautious to ensure that the budget session be conducted in a smooth manner. Chary and Goud asked the DGP Mahender Reddy, Commissioner of Police Srinivas Rao and others to make fool proof arrangements for the budget session of the Assembly and Council.

In the wake of changing political scenario, the police should remain more vigilant and ensure complete security to the leaders, Chary said. The police were told to ensure that no inconvenience should be caused to the members during the budget session. They appreciated the Police department for providing better security to people during festivals and international level programs and hoped that the budget session will be conducted smoothly. They also instructed the police top brass to focus on law and order during festivals in the State.  (NSS)
