Production halted on Blake Lively’s ‘The Rhythm Section’

Washington: The production on ‘Gossip Girl’ Blake Lively’s upcoming film ‘The Rhythm Section’ has been suspended indefinitely.

Producers of the upcoming thriller told The Hollywood Reporter, “Hiatus on the production of ‘The Rhythm Section’ has been extended due to the hand injury Blake Lively sustained while filming an action sequence on the action thriller at the end of last year.”

The production on ‘The Rhythm Section’ had been temporarily suspended in December following Lively’s hand injury which she sustained while doing a stunt on the Dublin set.

Reportedly, the 30-year-old’s initial hand surgery did not go as anticipated, and a second surgery will be needed with additional recovery time.

The British-American spy thriller is set to be released next year on February 22, 2019. (ANI)
