PSE Polls: ‘Operation Lotus’- BJP would be blamed if Karnataka’s Govt topples prematurely

New Delhi: In a recent survey conducted by the AxisMy-India, at least one-third of Karnataka voters would blame BJP if the state’s coalition government falls prematurely in any time sooner reports India Today TV’s Political Stock Exchange shows.

That makes it to a thirty-six percent of the respondents, who would hold the saffron party responsible, 27 percent voted Congress and 13 percent voted JD(S), if chief minister HD Kumaraswamy’s seven-month coalition government fails, India today reports.

The survey comes amid BJP’s alleged attempts to topple the Congress- JD(S) government also named as Operation Lotus, with the state’s political drama now entering its fifth day on Friday with Congress party making efforts to resolve the issue.

In the recent patty’s legislature meet, 76 MLAs turned up to a resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru while four MLAs did not attend the meet.

KPCC chief Dinesh Gundu Rao tweeted that the Congress MLAs would devise a “counter-strategy” against the “destructive force BJP head on”.

Around 62 percent of voters have surprisingly favoured dissolution of the state assembly while suggested fresh state elections along with the Lok Sabha polls with Twenty-five percent disagreed with the idea.

Nearly 36 percent of the voters voted Kumarswamy’s governance as the best. He was closely followed by the BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa at 34 percent.

While Twenty-nine percent voted former CM Siddaramaiah for governance.

As may as Forty-three percent of the voters believed the Congress-JDS coalition is capable of defeating the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections while thirty-six percent rejected the notion.
