Public representatives recommend for non-minority candidates in minority residential schools

Hyderabad: Guidelines have been issued to District Minority Welfare Officer in connection with the recruitment of non-teaching staff in minority residential schools. Society Secretary B Shafiullah and Chairman Minority Finance Corporation Syed Akber Husain convened a meeting of all district Minority Welfare Officers which took stock of the recruitment of non-teaching staff in 121 residential schools.

It has been reported that the society faces difficulty in connection with the recruitment of non-teaching staff due to intervention and recommendations of the local public representatives.

Minority Schools Society decided that 70 pc of the non-teaching staff should belong to minority community. Remaining 30 pc can be selected from non-minority candidates. However, according to sources, going by the recommendations of the MP and MLAs, the percentage of non-minority staff will reach over 70 pc.
