Pulwama attack: Here’s what Asaduddin Owaisi says at Harvard

Cambridge: Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) President, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi expressing his views on Pulwama attack which took lives of many CRFP personnel said, “I condemn what happened in Kashmir, it is grievous crime. It is Pakistan which is to be blamed for the terrorist offence which took place in Kashmir”.

Talking about the trend prevailing in India, he said, “If Asaduddin Owaisi criticizes Pakistan, I am true national and the moment I do not criticize Pakistan, my Indianness is questioned”.

Making it clear that he is Indian not only by birth but also by choice, he said that his forefather had rejected the ideology of Jinnah.

He also raised question over the attack and asked, “How did 100 kg plastic explosive reached Kashmir”.

Later, he wrote, “The crass reality of Indian politics: the litmus test of my Indianness is my criticism of Pakistan

In another tweet, he questioned the silence on the alleged violence against Kashmiris. He wrote, “Rumours circulating in Muslim areas in many cities are worrying. In name of candlelight vigils, mobs are trying to allegedly create tensions by targeting Muslims
This silence allowed Gujarat 2002. So is @PMOIndia’s silence on mob terror against Kashmiris deliberate? I think yes”.
