Hyderabad: ‘Aatishdaan’ a novel authored by Mrs. Qamer Jamali was released by Prof. S A Shukoor, Director/ Secretary Telangana Urdu Academy, on December 17, at Urdu Hall Himayat Nagar. Siasat editor, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan presided over the programme. Qamer Jamali is a well-known name in literary fiction. The novel ‘Aatishdaan’ is based on the theme of water crisis.
During his presidential address, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan announced that he will introduce the novel to digital readers through Siasat website. Prof. S A Shukoor also expressed happiness over the release of a novel on a unique subject.
Prof. Baig Ehsaas, Prof. Ashraf Rafi, Dr. Amena Tahseen, Prof. Habeeb Nisar also addressed on the occasion.
