Malegaon: Quddus Sir, a man who struggled for ‘more Muslims in Civil Services’ passed away on Friday morning at 06:00. Later, in the presence of hundreds of mourners, he was laid to rest at Malegaon Bada Qabristan.
According to the report published in Ummid.com, in 2013, when Fardina Adeel of Assam, Hammad Zafar of UP and Shakeel Ansari of Maharashtra who cracked UPSC CSE in 2012 visited Malegaon, Mr. Quddus wanted them to visit his coaching center. At that time, his center was running at Jamiat-e-Ulema building. His center had around 70 students. Mr. Quddus had purchased all the books.
It may be mentioned that Mr. Quddus and Mr. Jameel Shafeeque had completed their graduation from the same college. After seeing the condition of Muslims in the country, they decided to crack UPSC Civil Services Exam.
However, cracking UPSC at that time was very difficult due to lack of resources. There were no books available at local booksellers. They were forced to bring the books from Delhi.
They appeared for UPSC CSE Preliminary Exam in 1992. However, they could not clear the exam.
After Qaisar Abdul Haque’s success in the exam, Mr. Quddus decided to start coaching classes for Civil Services aspirants.
It may be mentioned that he never charged any fee from the students.
Later, he was diagnosed with abdomen cancer. He passed away on Friday, 22nd June 2018. Although none of his students cleared UPSC so far, his team will complete his mission.
