I quit RS because I was asked to keep away from Punjab: Sidhu

Former India cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday said he resigned as Rajya Sabha MP because he was told to keep away from Punjab, his home state.

Sidhu attacked BJP leadership saying even a bird comes back to its nest. “How can Navjot Sidhu leave his home, his people ? How can I not think of Punjab.”

If this was the first time I could have still tolerated, this is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened, Sidhu told in a press conference.

Sidhu broke his silence a week after his resigation to Rajya Sabha.
