Rahul Gandhi to participate in Congress bus yatra

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will participate in the next phase of Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra in Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons after meeting the AICC President in New Delhi on Friday, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy informed that Rahul Gandhi was briefed about the success of bus yatra which received tremendous public response all across Telangana Sate. He said that the Congress party has exposed the failures and corruption of TRS Government through the bus yatra. He informed that Rahul Gandhi has agreed to participate in the next phase of bus yatra which would be finalised in a day or two.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the date and venue where Rahul Gandhi would join the Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra would be finalised soon. He said that the Congress president was satisfied with the public movements and other activities being conducted by the Telangana Congress leadership and advised them to face the next elections with the same spirit.

He said Rahul Gandhi has congratulated two Congress MLAs – Komatireddy Venkatreddy and A. Sampath Kumar whose expulsion from Assembly was reversed by the Hyderabad High Court. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary took an undemocratic and unconstitutional decision to expel two Congress MLAs and suspend remaining members for rest of the session. However, he said that the High Court has reversed the decision which came as a slap on the face of KCR Government. He said both KCR and Madhusudan Chary should resign from their posts in view of HC verdict.

Uttam Kumar Reddy was accompanied with AICC Telangana Incharge Secretary R.C. Khuntia, MLAs Komatireddy Venkatreddy and Sampath Kumar, ex-MLA Marri Shashidhar Reddy, TPCC General Secretary Dr. Dasoju Sravan and advocate G. Ravi Shankar. (NSS)
