Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast for rainfall for north-western parts of Pakistan starting Tuesday, a day before the scheduled General Elections.
Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, and Kohat, as well as Kashmir, are some of the cities that are expected to be the recipients of the downpours that are expected to last for six days, from Tuesday to Sunday, reports Geo News.
Also, the PMD predicted strong winds, accompanied by thunderous rains and lightning over Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur in Punjab, Zhob and Kalat in Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
On a related note, the deadline for campaigning for all political parties came to an end at 12 am (Tuesday local time), with the country set to go to polls on Wednesday. (ANI)
