Rajasthan: FIR ordered against Cricketer Hardik Pandya

JODHPUR: A court in Rajasthan issued orders to file FIR against cricketer Hardik Pandya over his disrespectful tweet on BR Ambedkar- father of the Indian Constitution.

According to the initial reports, complaint has been filed by DR Meghwal for an offensive tweet on 26 December by a twitter handle @sirhardik3777 believed to be Cricketer Hardik’s.

While Hardik Panya’s official twitter handle is @hardikpandya7, Police are now investigating the case.

Complainant Dr Meghwal, who claims to be a member of the Rashtriya Bhim Sena, reportedly against the Cricketer saying such statements by a leading cricketer are derogatory.

Rajasthan court responding to the complainant directed the Jaipur Police to file FIR under a law on crimes against SC/STs (Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes), NDTV reports.

The young 24-year-old all-rounder from Baroda has so far played six Tests matches for India while representing India in 38 ODIs.
