Rajnath urges increase in cyber crime experts at police stations

New Delhi [India]: In a bid to tackle cyber crime, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday proposed an increase in the number of cyber crime experts at every police station across the country.

Rajnath, while delivering an Intelligence Bureau endowment lecture in the national capital also stressed upon the need to adopt smart policing concept with the latest technology.

Persuading the nation to instil greater trust and confidence in the police, Rajnath claimed that it is the presence of police that ensures law and order is maintained, and thus, the need to strengthen the forces arises, including the Chowkidari system in villages.

Rajnath also lauded the role of security agencies in tackling terrorism and left-wing extremism. (ANI)
