Animal Husbandry & Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today lashed out at the Congress leaders for their rhetoric against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Metro Rail.
Addressing the media at Secretariat here today, the minister said the government was ready for an open debate on the Metro Rail Works. The Government did not delay the works of the Metro Rail and alignment changes are meant for better connectivity and quality, he remarked. The power-hungry Congress leaders, he said, were heart-broken and dazed with loss of power and resorting to make foolish comments.
The minister also ridiculed TPCC Chief N Utham Kumar Reddy, Leaders of Opposition in the Assembly and Council K Jana Reddy and Shabbir Ali respectively and other senior Congress leaders for their provocative remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao on the issue. The Opposition leaders even after visiting metro rail stations at Malakpet and other areas were making a hue and cry to prove their identity.
He also found fault with the Congress leaders for making allegations that negligence by KCR and KTR led to the delay in the completion of the works. The ruling party was ready for an open debate on the issue, he maintained. He also condemned the comments of the Opposition leaders for political mileage that the delay of the works caused a burden of Rs 3,500 crore loss to the government. Metro Rail works are on fast pace and likely to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November. KCR has already urged Modi on the launch of new rail facility, he added.
The minister also slammed the Congress leaders for conducting opinion ballots to elicit public opinion on the proposed new Secretariat, Assembly in Byson Polo Grounds in Secunderabad. The Congress was making vain bid to stall the procedure as the people are not against the development. The Centre, after persistence efforts by the State government, has given its nod for the land transfer for the new Secretariat and other buildings, he said. However, the Congress leaders could not digest the development works and coming in the way of new structures planned for wide ranging accommodation for offices and departments. (NSS)
