Reservations for Muslims: Shiva Sena supports, KCR silent

Hyderabad: Marathas have been agitating for reservations which is worrying Fadnavis Government. It is very surprising that while supporting reservations for Marathas, Shiv Sena supported Muslim reservations also.

It may be mentioned that Bombay High Court had dismissed the plea for Marathas. The court did not strike off reservations for the Muslims. However, Govt. of Maharashtra did not honour High Court judgment in respect of the Muslim.

It is a well-known fact that the Muslims are backward in economic and educational fields.

It may be noted that former Congress-NCP coalition government of Maharashtra had promulgated an ordinance in 2014 providing 5% reservations to the Muslims but on 23rd December 2014, this ordinance was set aside.

On the other hand, Mr. KCR who is known as a secular leader had promised 12% reservation in his election speech but he did not fill it despite proximity with PM Modi.

The political analysts opine that had KCR been serious about Muslim reservations, he would have implemented it long back. If this promise is not fulfilled, TRS has to pay the price for it in the next elections.
