Retirement age will be hiked; Pensions will be doubled: KCR

Hyderabad: TRS Supremo and Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today offered to come up with some sops to employees and retired persons in the state very soon. We are going to win the mandate with 106 seats and upon forming government, I will come up with an announcement to increase the retirement age which can be 60 years or 61 years, he said.

Speaking at a mammoth gathering at Mahabubnagar, KCR asked them to support Srinivas Goud to win with one lakh votes and help develop the district which already got about eight lakh acres under irrigation, and prevented migration through schemes.

He addressed public meetings at Mahabubnagar, Wanaparty, Nagar Kurnool, Nagarjuna Sagar and other places and urged the people to give mandate to the ruling party as it provided help to all sections through welfare schemes. At Mahabubnagar he asked the people to think wisely to decide the next government to develop more in the district by voting for the TRS and Srinivas Goud should get at least one lakh majority in the polls. As MP of this district, he had achieved the statehood and Mahabubnagar has writers, poets, intellectuals and educated, who will definitely support the ruling party to win the mandate. Announcing to provide sops sought by Goud, KCR said that employees will soon get bounty of hike in retirement age and directorate for pensioners for hassle free payment of pensions.

He said that pensions will be doubled besides giving unemployment allowance of Rs 3016 and same amount to physically challenged persons. The TRS regime has started schools for Minorities who are lagging behind and building two bed room houses for the poor who can get them free of cost. We have revived the lakes and water bodies and supporting the farmers to get Rs 4000 per acre and will increase it to Rs 5000 acre and Rs 5 lakh insurance to farmers kin is the best scheme in the country. KCR said that 24 hour power is being offered to farm sector and no other state or country in the world is doing so, besides giving pensions to 40 lakh people, prevented migration of people and completing irrigation projects on a war-footing. We have achieved 17.00 per cent economic growth and number one in power sector and welfare, he claimed.
