Revanth asks CM to take action against KTR’s uncle for serving govt as ST

TDP leader turned Congress activist A Revanth Reddy today alleged that IT Minister KT Ramarao’s uncle one Pakala Haranatha Rao was taking pension after serving as Forest Range Officer for 35 years on Scheduled Tribe Certificate. He demanded that the State government initiate action against the retired officer and recover all the money he received from the government all these years as an employee appointed on fake caste certificate.

Speaking to the media in Gandhi Bhavan on Monday along with former MP Ravindra Naik and Congress ST Cell chairman Jagan Lal Naik, Revanth Reddy asked the State government as to why it failed to take action against Haranatha Rao for grabbing a post meant for an ST. Reminding KCR’s statement that he would not spare even his son or daughter if they indulged in corruption, Revanth Reddy asked the Chief Minister to initiate action against Haranatha Rao and instill confidence among the people. He also asked KTR to respond on the issue.

Revanth Reddy said he would approach the court if the government failed to initiate action against Haranatha Rao. He alleged that TRS leaders were speaking against the courts also. He said the Congress ST Cell will lodge a complaint against Haranatha Rao. He said they will approach the courts if the government failed to respond on their complaint.

Alleging that the TRS government was creating differences among the STs, former MP Ravindra Naik demanded that the State government respond on the Adivasis’ allegations that they were denied ST reservations. He also said it was not proper to Adivasis to demand that the governments remove Lambadas from ST list. He also said the governments were implementing only three percent reservation for STs instead of six percent.

Congress ST Cell chairman Jagan Lal Naik said they would lodge a complaint against the Chief Secretary today. (NSS)
