Revanth betrayed party like Nadendla in 1985: Ramana

Alleging that TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy betrayed the party by meeting AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi similar to Nadendla Bhaskara Rao in 1985 after joining hands with the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, TTDP chief L Ramana has asked the party men not to get demoralized with the desertion of TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Ramana said there was no loss to the party with the quitting of party by Revanth Reddy. He said that he had information six months ago itself that Revanth Reddy was in touch with the Congress party and all issues explained to Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He warned that severe action would be initiated against the leaders, who worked against the party interests. He exuded confidence that the party would develop on its own and the party would wage fight against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the Congress party. He also said the party would think on alliance if any party comes to NTR Bhavan liking TDP ideals. He said they will go to elections with Chandrababu photo and erect party flag in Telangana.

Earlier, Ramana conducted a teleconference with the important party leaders here on Sunday. Speaking with the leaders, Ramana explained the reasons as to why Revanth Reddy left the party. He said that this sort of developments were not new to the party. There was no need to worry on the developments taking place in the party, he said and asked the leaders to wage movement on public issues unitedly.  He said they will strengthen the party by touring across the districts and constituencies.
