Revanth Petition: HC seeks ACB report on Dec.13

The High Court has directed the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) to submit its report on December 13 on steps taken on the complaint lodged by Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy that TRS leaders resorted to money collection in the name of ‘Gulabi Kooli’ for the TRS Plenary.

It may be mentioned here that the TRS organized Party Foundation Meeting on April 27 at Warangal. On that occasion, TRS Chief and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had called upon Ministers, MPs and MLAs to collect funds while participating in ‘Gulabi Kooli’ (labour work). The Ministers, MPs and MLAs participated in Gulabi Kooli on April 15 and collected Rs 1 crore for the meeting.

In this context, Revanth Reddy lodged a complaint with the Union Ministry, Central Election Commission and CBI officers. He mentioned in his complaint that accepting valuables from others by public representatives was illegal as per law. As the ministers, MPs and MLAs were taking salaries and other perks from the government, they come under Public Servants Act, Revanth said while submitting newspaper clippings, video footage to the High Court through online.
