Hyderabad: TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday appeared before the sleuths of Enforcement Directorate in connection with the sensational “cash for vote scam” that rattled the State in May 2015. He appeared before the ED officials along with documents pertaining to the case.
It may be noted here that Revanth Reddy’s close friend and Congress leader Vem Narender Reddy and his children were interrogated by the ED officials in the same case last week. Revanth Reddy was caught red handed by the ACB sleuths while offering Rs 50 lakh to nominated MLA Stephenson. Revanth was holding the post of working president of the TDP in the State when the incident took place. TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu also faced allegations in the same case. Revanth was even arrested in the case and sent on judicial remand by the ACB officials.
