Revanth urges CM to raise age limit for police jobs by six years

Congress leader A Revanth Reddy today demanded that the State government raise upper age limit by six years for police recruitment as many unemployed youth were losing an opportunity of appearing for the examination.

Revanth Reddy addressed a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard and urged the government to take a favourable decision as the last date for applying for the same was left only two days. He alleged that the State government suppressed movement of the unemployed. However, the State government announced increase in upper age limit by three years for police recruitment. The State Police department issued an amended notification today. The department also extended the last date for applying for the posts online up to June 30. (NSS)
