Revanth urges EC, President to disqualify nine TRS MLAs

Congress leader A Revanth Reddy has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission and President of India against nine TRS MLAs demanding that the EC and President take action against them for enjoying beneficial positions.

It may be mentioned here that six TRS MLAs (D Vinay Bhaskar, J Venkatrao, V Srinivas Goud, G Kishor Kumar, V Sathish Kumar and Kova Laxmi) worked as Parliamentary Secretaries for some time and the state government removed them from their positions following the directions of the High Court. Three other TRS MLAs (Rasamai Balakishan- Cultural Head, Somarapu Sathyanarayana-RTC Chairman and V Prashanth Reddy-Panchayatraj and Rural Development chairman) were presently enjoying the beneficial positions.

The Election Commission disqualified 21 AAP MLAs in Delhi for enjoying Parliamentary Secretary positions. In this context, Revanth Reddy lodged a complaint with the Election Commission and President of the nation Ramnath Kovind to disqualify TRS MLAs on the lines of AAP MLAs. (NSS)
